Last week, we stayed in a small self catering cottage in Pendeen, Cornwall. It was the same place we stayed last time we went down there. It was a really nice trip. I love Cornwall. I always enjoy it, regardless of weather conditions. There is great food, wild scenery, and the cottage is always very cozy.
I must admit that I didn’t get much writing or carving done while we were there, but I did take quite a lot of photos. I did start carving a small duck while we were there, but that activity was cut short by a nasty burn I got from the wood stove. I’ll hopefully start working on it again here in a few days.
We went on 2 hikes while we were there. One of them was pretty short. We just walked down to Portheras Cove, which was fairly near to the cottage in which we were staying. The other hike was much longer. We walked from Cape Cornwall to Engine House, and we stopped on the way and ate our Cornish Pasties on some grass overlooking the sea. It was a great hike. It was very beautiful.
Overall, we didn’t do much aside from walk and eat delicious food, but it was a great trip. It was very relaxing and it was nice to spend time with Steph. Anyway, we’re doing comics again and I just wanted to let everyone know how last week went. I will hopefully have some woodcarving stuff to post sometime soon.
I wish I had a pasty and some Cornish ice cream. Anyway, I have to go for tonight. I shall return.
Hey, I just wanted to write a quick post before I go to bed. We got back from Cornwall this weekend, and I haven’t had time to post since then. I uploaded my photos from the trip into my Cornwall 3 Set. There are over 100 of them. I got a little snap happy at times, but it is hard not to in such a beautiful place.
I have a lot to write about, but that will have to wait until later. I want to get to bed at a decent time, because I’m feeling pretty tired from being back on the work schedule again. I’ll try to write more tomorrow, but for now I’ll just post a few pictures below. I hope everyone is doing well.
Ahh. The weather has been so nice lately, although it is going to start getting a bit too hot for me if it keeps up this way. I hope it will be nice in Cornwall next week. Not much going on here. We’ve still been doing comics on HandRooster and I think Steph is starting to get very good at drawing them. Thay make me laugh, and I write them…so she must be executing them well.
I’m reading a Noam Chomsky book…I’ll probably write more about it when I finish it, but I’ve only just started. It is the first Chomsky book I’ve read, but I’ve also read some of his articles online and I’m a big fan of his general awesomeness. He is a very intelligent and inspiring human being.
Anyway, I’m still looking forward to next week. We’re going to bring our bikes and I think it will be good to get away and concentrate on doing nice things. I also like the food down there. I want a Cornish Pasty right now!
