Nice Sunset

I don’t have much to say at the moment because I’m pretty tired and I’m off to bed soon. Today my friend Ryan changed his mind and now he isn’t leaving for another year. I hope he’s doing the right thing for his future. I’m sure things will work out for him in the end. Steph and I have been trying to do new comics everyday, so if you haven’t been checking HandRooster for updates, you should go check out the comics. Just hit the “previous” link at the bottom for older ones. Steph also does her own comic/silly drawing thing in the Doodles section of her website. In other news, we had a very pretty sunset tonight, so I just took a couple of quick pictures. The one has a crooked horizon, but you get the idea. That’s it for now!

Extra Helping of Nonsense

As I sit here typing this, I ponder the possibilities for plunder of warm beverages downstairs. I only have a meager excuse for a drink as a desktop companion. His (I like to assign gender to inanimate objects) name is Cranberry Pomegranate Juice, and his tangy-dry sourness irritates the very soul of the tongue as exposure reaches its apex. In short, I am done with him and his coldish tart taunting. I yearn for beverages with a sweet and soothing nature. I know one in particular (her name is Hot Chocolate) who would do nicely on this occasion.

I’ve been brewing up some more comic ideas for HandRooster which Steph will no doubt bring to life in due time. She drew one today which people seemed to like and she’s working on another at this very moment. I think I’m done writing for the night, though.

I’ve been taking a look at some channels on Joost and I can’t say I’m incredibly blown away. The idea is good, and I like the widgets they have built into the program. I like the idea of chatting while watching TV. I like the idea of inviting people to view the same show and hosting a sort of TV hoedown. I like all of these things, but I don’t see a vast channel forest full to the brim with content creatures of all shapes and sizes. Instead, I see a few dwarfed trees crippled by a lack of program soil and a distinct lack of any content wildlife. OK, I went a bit far with the forest scenario. What I’m saying is that the channels seem to be few and not all that interesting, and severely lacking in any decent content. All I can hope for is that this will all improve as the product grows. I’m certainly not writing it off.

I hope everyone enjoyed my wooden cat. I’ve put it in the Projects section just in case anyone wants to take a look again later and can’t find the post. I’m done for now. I wish you all a fantastic day/night.

Wooden Cat

So I finally finished carving the cat. I had to sharpen my tools a bit more, but now they are working quite well. The wooden cat pictures are below. I haven’t decided whether I’ll paint the cat or just leave it as it is.
