So I didn’t get to work on any woodcarving today, but we did try out our bikes. We also went to Bibury and I got a few photos there which I will post below:

We also worked a lot on getting various sections of our new web comic site, HandRooster. We still have a lot to do on the website, but at least it is up. We only have the 2 comics on there right now, but I’ve given Steph a bunch of content to illustrate so whenever she has time, she’ll be working on it. Hopefully I’ll have time to carve some wood tomorrow!
Tomorrow we’re going to go for a ride on our new bikes. I think I’ll bring along my camera just in case I see some nice scenes for photos. If I get some good ones I’ll probably post them tomorrow evening. I also want to get working on my cat carving tomorrow night. Maybe I can make some decent progress…as long as my tools are sharp enough. Anyway, I think it’s about time to to go bed. I’m quite sleepy. I hope everyone is doing well.
Steph and I have decided to call our comic “Hand Rooster” and we’ll have the domain for it up within the next few days, I imagine. Until then, Steph has posted the new one on her site, All Things Knitty. If you want to see it head over to her Hand Rooster page to see “the get big existence” as well as our first comic, “milk.”
Sometimes when I wake up for work and I hear the rain, I dread stepping out into it. Today was one of those days, but when I stepped out, I was amazed at the depth and richness of the colors outside. The sky was a deep brooding blue with blending greys in some areas, and the light this gave the grass, the new formed buds on the trees and the blossoms left on the fruit trees was amazing. It was like stepping into a painting and I really appreciated nature’s way of picking me up during a long work week.
At this moment, I am drinking some green tea and enjoying the sights from my desk window. My life isn’t perfect, but I’m enjoying this moment. That’s what life is about, isn’t it?
Just in case anyone is interested, Steph has posted the first web comic on her site at All Things Knitty. We’ll probably be moving it as well as subsequent comics to a new domain soon.
