Steph and I have decided to call our comic “Hand Rooster” and we’ll have the domain for it up within the next few days, I imagine. Until then, Steph has posted the new one on her site, All Things Knitty. If you want to see it head over to her Hand Rooster page to see “the get big existence” as well as our first comic, “milk.”

Just in case anyone is interested, Steph has posted the first web comic on her site at All Things Knitty. We’ll probably be moving it as well as subsequent comics to a new domain soon.
Here are a couple of things I’ve carved recently. They aren’t much, but hopefully I’ll finish my cat soon. I had fun doing these and I think I’m going to try to keep track of all of my little projects.
One is a heart I carved as a small present for Steph and the other is a quick branch carving I did. It is supposed to be some sort of spreader.
All of those photos can be found in my new Wood Carving set on my Flickr page although they are the only photos in the set at the moment. I think I’ll also add a section on my website dedicated to finished projects. Maybe in the future I’ll do step by step photo instructions for wood carving projects. I’ll have to get better first, though.
I’ve found a really nice website for spiritual matters called abarefootman.co.uk which I’ll be adding to the Spirituality section of my blogroll. The site has already helped clear some things up in my mind and seems to be an excellent resource. Anyway, I hope someone else gets some use out of it. Love and Respect.
Over the past few months, I’ve been getting into Wood Carving. I’m quite horrible at it right now, but I hope to improve vastly. Ideally, I’ll become a Master Wood Carver and ride around in a wooden vehicle with wooden birds flitting about as I drive through a wooden city peddling my wooden wares.
So far, I’ve only managed to make a little heart, a bowl, a spoon, and a branch carved spreading device…I guess for peanut butter or something, if you enjoy the blending tastes of wood and peanut butter.
I’ve been reading a bit about it as well as just blindly trying to figure it out on my own. I really don’t know if my technique is that great, but if you check back with me in about 10 years, I’ll let you know if I’ve figured it out. Anyone enjoy a little woodcarving? Maybe we could get together and carve an army for ourselves. An army of peace and woodiness, that is…providing shelter for many a woodpecker in dire need.
Maybe I’ll post a picture or two of my next finished project to see what you think.
