So…I haven't had the time to even write a travel journal entry for London, nor have I had the time to put the Cornwall stuff on here….been pretty busy. As some of you may know, our car has passed away after a short but emotionally charged year in service to us. I loved that car, and it was a bit sad to see it go, as I have a lot of memories of good times and new discoveries in that car. I guess all things must come to an end, and I think that it is a fitting time. I feel as if I've started a whole new chapter in my life for some reason…and I'm not going to cling onto the past. Betsy's Red Dragon Air Freshener will be buried in our garden (or in another fitting location) soon, and I'd just like to take this moment in silence to give thanks to the car that showed me around England and brought my new wife home with me.
Next item of business on the agenda is my Gmail invitations. If anyone wants a Gmail account, I have 5 invitations to give out. For those of you who don't know, Gmail is a free email service provided by Google which gives you a 1 GB storage limit, advanced spam blocking features, and a pretty decent interface which includes labels and the ability to archive things. Now…if anyone is interested, let me know…I'll need your email address, and I have to like you at least a little bit.
Also, here is a picture I created yesterday. I think I'm improving slightly, but still pretty crap. I dunno. I think some of it is all right, but some is kinda iffy. I may work on it a bit.
Anyway, hopefully I'll get a chance to put in my travel journal entries fairly soon…we'll see.
I think I'll close with this thing I wrote this morning after saving a large snail with a green shell. It was on the road as I walked to work this morning and as I release it, it acted as if I never touched it, and started on its way through the grass. This jumped into my mind immediately:
Oh finest snail, how have you been?
You glisten with a glossy sheen
And through your forest of green you go
How long, my friend, will you wander so?
