Yesterday we went to pick up at the train station in Oxford, and then we went to eat at NoodleBar, which was delicious as always. I ate my food really quickly. I had fried rice with prawn balls in the sweet and sour sauce….and some sesame prawn toast as my side. The sesame prawn toast wasn't as good as last time, but I think that may have been due to the intense flavors of the rest or the food. I'm not sure. Anyway, we walked over to Borders and had some Chai and looked around for books. I picked up Alain De Botton's The Art Of Travel which recommended a while back. Steph got a couple of art books (I think one was for her Dad, maybe, and the other was a Chagall book, if I remember right) and another Bill Bryson book, about the time he walked the Appalachian Trail. Usually I guess we would order stuff from america via amazon or something, since the I get paid in dollars….but I just felt like I didn't really care at the time…so we got books, and I'm not regretting it this morning. Anyway after we got done there we all got in the little Punto and sped to RAF Fairford. We watched Big Brother, which is a large factor in my tiredness every day. Oh, and then we went to bed….but I think I should start going to bed earlier.
I got up ok this morning, and did my usual business…and I was surpised that I was able to get ready by 6:45 on the downstairs clock….so I did what I never seem to have time for anymore…I meditated…and it was great. I'm seriously thinking about altering my sleep patterns just so I can manage to have time for it every morning, because it was a much better way to start the day. I felt very good after I did it, and I went in and sat with Steph in the bedroom for a while until I had to leave for work. Good morning, and overall it has been a decent workday. Nothing huge looming in the Net Admin world, and I've just been closing out some tickets in Remedy.
I saw a book called Street Logos last night and I tried to find the little pixel men from the book on their website this morning, but I couldn't seem to remember the person who did them, and there were tons of links. I'll have to take a look at it again another time.
Anyway I have some more work to do, so I'll end this here. More to come, possibly.
