Goings on

I've been too busy at work to post much lately…I can't say that much has been going on, really. Steph was at her parents' and I generally hibernated during that period of time. In the spirit of being really sad people, we have started watching the new series of Big Brother. I can't say I find it AS interesting this year, but I haven't gotten used to all of the people yet. It seems a little less fun to me, but still better than your average crap tv, I guess. If it ran against American Chopper (new episodes, not reruns) I'd probably pick American Chopper, though. I think my favorite show at the moment is ER. I'm getting ot the point where I really dislike TV, and I think from an outsider's standpoint watching me sit around for hours on end each night, and I find it pretty sad. I'm still trying to decide on an activity to replace that. I read one of my favorite books again, and it always makes me want to do things..like become a shepherd, or carve wood, or be a wandering minstrel. I think that generally, the modern world is pure shit. You can't do any of the cool stuff anymore without people thinking you are some freak. I don't know if anyone agrees with me there, but I feel it every day. I suppose I'll keep on trodding through it until Steph and I can find our little corner of the world, and live how we want.

Here is my book thingo, but I can't be bothered to do the tons of other quiz things that have passed by…

1. Take five (random!) books off your bookshelf.
2. Book #1 — first sentence
3. Book #2 — last sentence on page fifty
4. Book #3 — second sentence on page one hundred
5. Book #4 — next to the last sentence on page one hundred fifty
6. Book #5 — final sentence of the book
7. Make the five sentences into a paragraph:

[1] In the darkness of the north there is a fish, whose name is Vast. [2] Unless we wake each other, how shall we mature? [3] For instance, to find any character that's a digit, an uppercase letter, or an at sign (@), use the following regular expression. [4] Prior to IOS release 11.2, Cisco provided support for FECN for DECnet and OSI, BECN for SNA traffic using direct LLC2 encapsulation via RFC 1490, and DE bit support. [5] The Tao of the sage is work without effort.
