Taxes sux0r

I've spent this morning trying to sort out my taxes. Let me tell you that getting married to someone not from your country complicates things. Even though Steph has not worked since we got married, I still have to include her earnings from last year since we got married during that year's tax period. This makes things hard since her taxes are all screwed up too, and it seems pointless to me. All I want is the money I earned back. Her income hasn't changed my life at all, so what the heck is the point? Anyway, we have to fill out some mysterious paperwork and I have an appointment with the tax people on base on Tuesday the 16th to sort it out. I was supposed to get it done today but the guy who was supposed to do it isn't at work, for some reason. Turns out it was a good thing since I didn't know about the complications with Steph before today. I'm glad I didn't do it online…probably would have screwed it all up. Anyway, I hope it doesn't mess up how much I get back. I estimate around 3 thousand dollars due to the bonus money I got this year. That would help out with getting the rest of our house furnished and getting Steph's computer done, and then getting her piano. Anyway, I'll post more later. Busy now.
