Responsible for the configuration, management, administration and maintenance of over $4.7M in network infrastructure and Information Systems throughout RAF Fairford and RAF Welford's wide area network (WAN). Performs system administration, configuration management and computer security duties on 112 Cisco switches, 11 Cisco routers, 30 WAN servers, 275 networked personal computer systems and associated peripherals. Collects metrics on e-mail accounts, user passwords, web traffic, critical system downtime and computer system performance. Plans, engineers and acquires equipment necessary to support the Secret and Non-secure Internet Protocol Routing Network (SIPRNET/NIPRNET) systems required to support base's bomber forward operating location mission.
